It all started many years ago when Miguel Silván Ruiz (living in the US) had the idea to build a circular house near his family in Spain.
He commisioned a painter in spain who did draw his imagined house and to the left the pen and ink drawing can be seen that was made at that time. The pen and ink drawing is still in posession of a daughter of Miguel (Patricia Steel) who was so kind to provide a copy to us. Patricia is a writer and did ancestral research on her family. She has a wonderfull website and blog which can be found through the following link.
Once the villa was build it got the name Casa Redonda (In English "the round house") later named "Graciela". The name Graciela can still be found at the gate in golden letters accompanied with hearts of gold.
Buying a Spanish authentic Casa is one thing, but after that the real work starts. We are changing our casa into a true family home. With some TLC we try to give a warm feeling to our home. To keep our friends and family updated on the progress we show below some pictures (before vs after).
